Cybersecurity Marketing Case Studies: Real Client Results | Signalpath
Proof, category only

Real Cybersecurity Firms. Real Numbers. No Borrowed Results.

Every figure on this page comes from a security or managed IT engagement. Nothing here is imported from another category.

Cybersecurity marketing case studies are easy to fake and hard to verify, which is exactly why the standard on this page is narrow. Ask any cybersecurity marketing agency for results from your own category. If what comes back is an ecommerce return figure, you have your answer about who they actually work with.

The standard

Why You Will Not Find A Facebook Ads Screenshot On This Page

Most agencies pitching security firms show a return figure from an ecommerce campaign and hope you do not check the category. A paid media result from a consumer brand tells you nothing about whether a CISO will take a call, and showing it tells you exactly which clients that agency actually serves.

This is also why we only work in one category.

Rule 01

Results appear only from cybersecurity or managed IT engagements.

Rule 02

Client names appear only with written permission, otherwise a category descriptor.

Rule 03

Starting positions are recorded in writing on day one, so the before number is real rather than reconstructed.

Rule 04

If a number is not on this page, it is because we do not have one we can stand behind yet.

01

Their clients made the argument they could not make themselves

Case one
Cybersecurity firmMid-market & enterpriseTestimonial-led campaign

A cybersecurity firm selling to mid-market and enterprise buyers came to us with sales at their lowest point and acquisition costs at their highest. Years of successful pitching had stalled and nobody could say why.

The sales team was not the problem. They converted what reached them. What reached them had changed: the inquiries arriving were no longer the kind that close, and no amount of sales skill fixes an inquiry that was never going to buy.

The firm had recognizable enterprise names on its client list, and not one of them appeared anywhere a prospective buyer would encounter. We requested testimonial videos from representatives at those companies and built the acquisition campaign around them. Their clients carried the credibility argument the firm had been trying to make about itself.

Transferable point

We did not write a better claim. We got their buyers to make it for them.

02

The page was fine and the content was written for the wrong buyer

Case two
Cybersecurity firmNov 2023 – Feb 2024Content rewrite + paid

A cybersecurity firm had spent months running its own paid social and organic activity and had nothing to point to. The assumption going in was that the page was broken.

It was not. The design was good, the flow worked, the technical build was sound. The content on it had been written for a general business audience rather than for someone evaluating security services. Everything a security buyer needed in order to decide was missing, and things they did not need were in the way. No amount of traffic fixes that, which is exactly why months of their own campaigns had gone nowhere.

We rewrote the content for the buyer, structured so it could be found organically as well as through paid, then built a campaign routing interested buyers straight to it instead of to a homepage. See how we rewrite for the security buyer.

Transferable point

A well-built page written for the wrong reader fails silently. It looks like a traffic problem for months before anyone checks the copy.

03

The product was ready before the market knew it needed one

Case three
Endpoint protection vendorSMB buyers2020

A cybersecurity software vendor selling endpoint protection to small and mid-sized businesses saw the 2020 remote shift creating demand faster than buyers could evaluate anyone. Businesses were moving operations online and acquiring security requirements in the same week. The constraint was speed, not product.

We built the positioning on what the firm genuinely did better than the alternatives rather than on feature comparison. Two things carried it: the product was configured to each business instead of sold as one fixed setup, and support continued after deployment. Then we took that to market while buyers were still recognizing they had the need at all.

Transferable point

The firm was not competing on features. It was competing on arriving first, while the category was still forming.
